Get answers to common questions about Yoni Steam.
A Yoni Steam is a traditional, non-invasive practice where herbal-infused steam gently warms the pelvic area. Herbs and heat aim to support circulation, relaxation, and reproductive balance. At Ommmango Wellness we use curated blends, professional protocols, and client safety screening before each session.
Yoni steaming is not recommended during pregnancy due to safety concerns and is approached cautiously postpartum. During menstruation some choose to avoid steaming until flow subsides. We screen each client and provide tailored guidance based on your health history and current reproductive status.
We use gentle, traditionally supportive herbs like mugwort, rosemary, chamomile, lavender, calendula, and yarrow. Blends are chosen for your needs—fertility support, relaxation, or menstrual relief—and prepared fresh. Allergies and sensitivities are reviewed before any custom blend is used.
Sessions typically last thirty to forty-five minutes, including consultation and post-steam rest time. Time allows for a comfortable steaming period plus warming and integration. We adjust timing based on personal comfort, health considerations, and the specific herbal blend used.
When performed properly it's generally gentle, but possible risks include burns from overly hot steam, allergic reactions to herbs, or increased sensitivity. We use safety protocols, temperature checks, and allergy screening. Consult your practitioner for contraindications and medical concerns before steaming.
Before your session hydrate, avoid heavy meals, and skip douching or topical vaginal products. After steaming rest, drink water, wear breathable clothing, and note any irritation. Follow our post-care tips and contact us if you experience unusual pain, fever, or concerning symptoms.
